Dr. Junias Desamour is the Medical Director at NeuLife Rehabilitation, bringing over 20 years of experience in the medical field. A graduate of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in 2000, Dr. Desamour completed his residency at the University of Florida. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and has extensive expertise in managing a wide range of conditions, including diabetes, chronic kidney disease, and hypertension.
Dr. Desamour is affiliated with several medical facilities in the Central Florida area, including AdventHealth Orlando and Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center. As an internist, he specializes in adult healthcare, providing comprehensive care to patients with a focus on long-term management and prevention of complex conditions.
In his role as Medical Director at NeuLife, Dr. Desamour leads a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, patient-centered rehabilitation for individuals with neurological conditions, brain injuries, and spinal cord injuries. Eliam Fuentes, MD
Physiatrist, PM&R
Dr. Eliam Fuentes-Tirado is an independent practice physician at NeuLife Rehabilitation. He earned his medical degree from Universidad Central del Caribe in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, and completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Case Western Reserve University and MetroHealth Rehabilitation Institute of Ohio in Cleveland. Dr. Fuentes is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and serves as an assistant professor at the University of Central Florida.
Dr. Fuentes specializes in comprehensive rehabilitative care for conditions such as stroke, movement disorders, and neuromuscular pathologies, among others. He is passionate about helping patients regain their independence and improve their quality of life through personalized rehabilitation strategies.
In addition to his role at NeuLife, Dr. Fuentes holds privileges at several hospitals in the community and enjoys sharing his expertise in the field of rehabilitation. His patient care philosophy is rooted in empathy, emphasizing the importance of building strong, trusting relationships with those he serves. Eric Kaplan, MD
Psychiatrist
Dr. Eric M. Kaplan is a highly experienced psychiatrist at NeuLife Rehabilitation, bringing over 20 years of expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of mental health conditions. He earned his medical degree from the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine, where he was awarded the Herman J. Selinsky Psychiatry Award for his outstanding performance during his psychiatry rotation.
Dr. Kaplan specializes in general psychiatry and is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology. He has extensive experience in treating a variety of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety disorders, substance abuse, and schizophrenia. His approach often combines medications and psychotherapy to ensure comprehensive patient care.
In addition to his role at NeuLife, Dr. Kaplan has a long history of leadership in the medical field. He previously served as the Corporate Chief Medical Officer at Lakeview Health, where he contributed to expanding treatment programs and health plan partnerships. He also held several key leadership positions, including Medical Director roles at Charter Hospital of Pasco, St. Augustine Health Care HMO, and Guardian Life Insurance Company.
Dr. Kaplan is an associate professor at the University of South Florida, where he continues to contribute to the Department of Psychiatry. He is also board certified by the American College of Forensic Examiners, the American Board of Forensic Medicine, and the American Board of Disability Analysts. Dr. Kaplan’s extensive experience and leadership in the field of psychiatry make him a trusted provider of mental health care at NeuLife Rehabilitation.
Francoeur Cadet, DO/MPH
Infectious Disease
Dr. Francoeur Cadet is a multilingual physician at NeuLife Rehabilitation, offering compassionate and comprehensive care to his patients. Fluent in English, Spanish, French, Creole, and proficient in some Sign Language, Dr. Cadet connects with a wide range of individuals, ensuring they feel understood and cared for throughout their treatment journey.
Dr. Cadet earned his Medical Degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his internal medicine training at Columbia Hospital and pursued an Infectious Disease Fellowship at Orlando Health. He is board certified in both Infectious Diseases and Internal Medicine.
In addition to his role at NeuLife, Dr. Cadet is affiliated with medical facilities such as AdventHealth East Orlando and AdventHealth Winter Park. He is committed to providing excellent, patient-centered care and is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of those he serves.
Rebecca Villar, PsyD
Neuropsychologist
Dr. Rebecca C. Villar is a licensed neuropsychologist with expertise in clinical neuropsychology and neurorehabilitation. She holds a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Neuropsychological Assessment from Immaculata University and completed a post-doctoral residency in clinical neuropsychology at Maitland Psychology, PA. She also completed a predoctoral internship in neuropsychology and neurorehabilitation through BaySide and WestSide Neurorehabilitation Services of Goodwill Industries of Northern New England.
Dr. Villar is an active member of the American Psychological Association's Divisions of Neuropsychology and Rehabilitation Psychology, the International Neuropsychological Society, and the National Academy of Neuropsychology. She is the Executive Director of the Central Florida Brain Injury Support Group and serves as a Neuropsychologist at NeuLife Rehabilitation.
Her clinical interests include acquired brain injury, autism, ADHD, dementia, anxiety disorders, and cognitive rehabilitation. Dr. Villar has presented her research at leading conferences such as the International Neuropsychological Society’s Annual Meeting and the American Psychological Association’s Annual Convention.
Christopher Goodwin, MHA
Executive Director
Christopher Goodwin brings over 14 years of healthcare management experience and an entrepreneurial approach to his role as Executive Director at NeuLife Rehabilitation of Florida. He leads clinical operations, program development, and interdisciplinary care to ensure every individual receives high-quality, compassionate rehabilitative support.
Prior to joining NeuLife, Christopher served as Director of Operations at Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute, overseeing multiple outpatient clinics, more than 80 staff members, and numerous providers. He has also held leadership roles at Complete Care Injury Care and Rehab, StretchLab, and Royal Fitness, managing operations, team development, and patient-centered programs across multiple sites.
Christopher holds a Master of Healthcare Administration from Grand Canyon University and a Bachelor of Health, Leisure, and Exercise Science with a minor in Sports and Exercise Psychology from the University of West Florida. His leadership focuses on collaboration, innovation, and integrity to ensure exceptional care and positive outcomes for every person served.

Originally from South Florida, Maggie has called Central Florida home for the past 25 years. A proud graduate of the University of Central Florida, she is deeply committed to supporting individuals who require specialized care and improving outcomes for those served by NeuLife Rehabilitation.
As Director of Case Management, Maggie leads with compassion and vision, ensuring every person receives coordinated, high-quality care. She is passionate about helping others and dedicated to making a meaningful impact within the organization and the community.
Maggie is also actively involved in local initiatives that support individuals with neurological and physical challenges, championing programs that enhance independence, well-being, and quality of life. Her leadership reflects a strong commitment to service, collaboration, and excellence.

After that, Mary spent 11 years in extended care, honing her skills in direct patient interaction. Alfonso Potts, a native of Central Florida, began his journey with NeuLife in 2017 as a Front Desk Receptionist. With a strong background in communications, he quickly established himself as a key team member, utilizing his exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills to create a welcoming and efficient environment within the company.
His dedication to delivering outstanding service and his keen ability to connect with others allowed him to steadily progress through various roles within the company.
